Memoir of James Watson, Jr., 1765-1815 : typescript, 1934.

This memoir of James Watson, Jr. was written and compiled by James Townley Watson, 2nd of Duluth, Minnesota (1934). The memoir includes text, illustrations, photostatic copies of photographs and documents, pieces of original manuscripts, and clippings, providing genealogical information, information regarding ships Watson owned, and the merchants with which he dealt. Also includes a print of a view of New York in 1792 and a map of the city in 1817; pages in the appendix on Samuel Watson are not bound in.

James Watson, Jr. (1765-1815) was an importing and exporting merchant of New York. He was born in Chapelized, Ireland on November 24, 1765, the son of James Watson and Jane Townley Watson. He died in Paris, France on March 22, 1815 and is buried in the Cemetery of the Vaugirard. In 1793 Watson married Mary Rattoone.
